14.02.18 – The Nicky Byrne Show Broadcast

It was a very special Valentine’s Day for RTÉ 2fm (also called Tattoo FM, this week), as their presenters broadcasted live from Henry St., to raise awareness and show support to the Irish Heart Foundation’s #ShowSomeHeart campaign. Joining them in the roadcaster, were Louise Hoey and her 15-year-old daughter, Taylor, who talked about the heart condition that runs in their family.

Sinéad Brady, from A Career to Love, was also there to give her expert advice for returning to work after maternity leave.

The best moment of the day came when Georgina surprised Nicky with her Valentine’s Day day gift. Do not miss Nicky’s reaction and how he carried the present to his car. Could these two be any cuter? ☺️?

Nicky Joins the #SHOWSOMEHEART Campaign

The #SHOWSOMEHEART by Irish Heart has associated with RTÉ 2fm to help make a permanent change in the fight against cardiovascular disease.

The campaign consists of buying a temporary tattoo for €2 at your local Daybreak or Insomnia Coffee. All the money will help raise €250k in the fight against heart disease and stroke. You can also make a donation on the Official Website.

Nicky Takes Part in #TalkingMakesUsStronger Campaign

Nicky is one of the few Irish celebrities supporting the #TalkingMakesUsStronger awareness Campaign by ISPCC Childline, who teamed up with the Vodafone Ireland Foundation.

It began after research found that 95% of children have worries they’d like to discuss, and it consists of a video series, in the hope of empowering children to talk about their worries.

Nicky Shows Adam Burke His Support

The All Ireland Final game of Dublin vs. Mayo took place on Sunday, September 17th. Nicky attended the match at Croke Park, and took a few pictures with fans (that can be seen on the fansite’s social media accounts at @TeamByrneMx).

Here he is giving a shoutout to “The Dream Is Alive” campaign, that supports twenty-one year old Adam Burke. Sadly, Adam suffered a devastating stroke resulting from an injury during a GAA football match. The stroke caused paralysis of his right arm and hand, weakness of his right leg, increased fatigue and crucially has impacted on the area of the brain that controls language and speech. He is doing well but they need to raise funds to ensure he can access the intensive therapy sessions he needs. For more information, watch the video and visit their Website.

Nicky Launches Ice Cream Fundays Campaign in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland

Every year HB Ice Cream plans the Ice Cream Fundays Campaign to support Down Syndrome Ireland, and Nicky was there for today’s launch!

As part of the campaign, people can host ice cream parties this May or June and HB Ice Cream will send them some amazing party packs, as well as vouchers for HB Hazelbrook Farm Ice Cream. It’s all about raising money for Down Syndrome Ireland, that’s focussed on being the primary source of information and support to people with Down syndrome and their families. Nicky & Jenny Support the Walk In My Shoes #MindYourSelfie Campaign

Walk In My Shoes launched the new #MindYourSelfie School Resource Packs; their exciting school mental health activity pack. The campaign is a free classroom activity pack for Primary and Secondary schools. Each pack has interactive mental health activities that teachers can use in the classroom. The packs include Mindfulness Audio Clips, a Selfie ‘Steem activity, Wellness Wall instructions and more.

To raise awareness, people are taking selfies and adding the hashtag #MindYourSelfie. Jenny shared a picture of her and Nicky supporting the cause.
