RTÉ2 will launch its new series called First Dates Ireland tonight. It consists of bringing singletons from all over the country together in the hope of finding love at the restaurant. Mateo Saina and Amy went to The Nicky Byrne Show to talk about it:
This was Nicky’s last show for a while, since he’ll now be focussing on getting ready for Eurovision. Will miss listening to him every morning, but I’m so proud and excited for what’s to come!
Impressionist, Al Foran was today’s guest on The Nicky Byrne Show. It was so entertaining and fun! He impersonated big stars like Conor McGregor, Mike Tyson, Robert DeNiro, Matthew Mcconaughey and Mark Wahlberg
In case you missed the video of him with Nicky that went viral last week, watch it below… It’s brilliant!
Dylan Bradshaw went into The Nicky Byrne Show studio to talk about the Get Blown Away Initiative by the ISPCC. The campaign runs between May 26-28, 2016. During this time, participating salons are donating the cost of one blow dry by each hairdresser to ISPCC Childline!
On his way to to London for the London Eurovision Party 2016, Nicky took the Soccer Aid trophy with him (that he’s had for the past two years). He tweeted a few pictures from the airport in Dublin that show how the very special possession traveled. 😉 No worries Nicky, it’ll be back in Ireland before you know it!
The London Eurovision Party 2016 is taking place tonight at the Cafe de Paris at 7:00pm UK time! As previously mentioned this week, Nicky attended with other Eurovision participants and special guests. Make sure to keep checking back for all the latest news, pictures and videos… I will be updating constantly 😉

Thanks to HB Ice Cream, Nicky and Jenny received some delicious treats during today’s show.
Eoin and Niamh also went into the studio to talk about the Aoife Beary Trust. They will be dancing in “Strictly For Aoife”, a Strictly Come Dancing night in Hope of Aoife Beary’s continued recovery and in Remembrance of Olivia Burke and Eimear Walsh (Loreto College Foxrock 2012). All money raised will go to their votes on the night and also for a great cause! You can donate here.
The Freedom of Dublin Charity Fashion Show took place last night, and it was a complete success. Nicky was the presenter for the night and did a fabulous job, I’m sure! Thank you to all those who shared pictures. You can look at all of them by clicking on the ones below:
Thank you to everyone who made tonight such a special occasion! #FreedomOfDublin
Nicky is on the cover of the latest VIP Magazine Issue, on newsstands now! He gave an amazing interview to Bianca about his upcoming debut album (apparently set to be released on May 6th), Eurovision prep and much more! Massive thank you to Judith for sharing the scans:
Bianca: Nicky Byrne doing the Eurovision. I have to admit, I’m a bit surprised.
Nicky: Truth is, I’m really patriotic, and that’s not just a line. I love when Conor McGregor fights, love when Ireland plays football and I grew up watching the Eurovision. I am also a very competitive person. When I finished playing football at 19, and then Westlife started, I did lose that competitive side that I craved. I don’t know if we’ll ever win the Eurovision again, but sure look, we’ll give it a shot.
