The running order of the Semi-Finals of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest has been unveiled by Host Broadcaster SVT. Nicky will be the 7th Person to Perform on May 12th!
Following the same format that has been in place since 2013, producers decided the running order to ensure that each song stands out and to create a more exciting television show. The decision was approved by the EBU Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand and the Chairman of the Reference Group, Dr. Frank Dieter Freiling.
“My goal is to give every song maximum space so it’s surrounded by other songs that make it stand out and shine for three minutes. This also reduces the anxiety surrounding where a country is placed in the running order. Wherever the artist is singing they have a chance to be noticed”, said Christer Björkman, Contest Producer for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.
Here’s the running order for Semi-Finals 2:
8. FYR Macedonia
The running order for the Grand Final will be decided after the second Semi-Final. The first Semi-Final has 18 participants and will be held on 10th May while the second with 19 contestants takes place on 12th May. The Grand Final of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest will take place on Saturday 14th May.
The Freedom of Dublin Charity Fashion Show took place last night, and it was a complete success. Nicky was the presenter for the night and did a fabulous job, I’m sure! Thank you to all those who shared pictures. You can look at all of them by clicking on the ones below:
Thank you to everyone who made tonight such a special occasion! #FreedomOfDublin
Nicky is on the cover of the latest VIP Magazine Issue, on newsstands now! He gave an amazing interview to Bianca about his upcoming debut album (apparently set to be released on May 6th), Eurovision prep and much more! Massive thank you to Judith for sharing the scans:
Bianca: Nicky Byrne doing the Eurovision. I have to admit, I’m a bit surprised.
Nicky: Truth is, I’m really patriotic, and that’s not just a line. I love when Conor McGregor fights, love when Ireland plays football and I grew up watching the Eurovision. I am also a very competitive person. When I finished playing football at 19, and then Westlife started, I did lose that competitive side that I craved. I don’t know if we’ll ever win the Eurovision again, but sure look, we’ll give it a shot.
Nicky’s album is getting nearer by the minute! Today he tweeted that he’s already written its Thank You’s and he’ll be sharing more details on the official release date very soon! Is it just me or this seems unreal? All I know is that I’ve never been more excited for anything in my life 🙂
Wrote my album Thank You's the other day .. My own album Thank You's !! #mad It's released in early May, will tell all soon!?
