It was reunion day on The Nicky Byrne Show because Aidan Power, Nicky’s partner on their 2013 show ‘The Hit’, came in to talk to about the Live Life Love Day Film Festival (which takes place in Tralee in honour of Donal Walsh).
Nicky and Jenny also asked listeners to call and share their horrible waxing stories… Just look at Nicky’s face when he was listening to Brenda’s waxing disaster!
Nicky was interviewed on The Tracy Clifford Show today, just after the it was announced who Ireland will be competing against at the Eurovision Semi-Finals. He mentioned that they have already put the band together and some vocalists for the big performance on the 12th of May.
Also like previously reported, Nicky confirmed that the first big performance of “Sunlight” will be on Feb 13th on The Ray D’Arcy Show. He’ll also have a few big performances in Europe to help promote the single… So stay tuned for news and announcements!
Nicky’s radio contract with RTÉ2fm is ending soon, but he doesn’t have any plans to leave the station.
“I love doing the 2fm radio show with Jenny and we have a really great laugh every day. You get to interview some of the biggest stars in movies and music. It’s great fun and I don’t want that to end.” he told Sunday World’s Magazine. “My aim is not to leave that. My two-year contract with 2fm is up shortly and we’re talking about doing more, so I’m not going away. I have no intention of leaving the life I have.”
The Nicky Byrne Show will celebrate 2 years on air this upcoming March!
If you listen to The Nicky Byrne Show on a daily basis, you know that Jenny Greene is not a Taylor Swift fan. Well, she’s recently admitted that she likes her new single ‘Out Of The Woods’, so Nicky made her download it on iTunes 😉 He even gave her the 2€ to pay for it! Watch the video:
Also: Who has it rougher – girl bands or boy bands? Nicky spills the beans!
We all know Sunlight is a brilliant tune, and it’s absolutely perfect for Eurovision – It’s catchy, it’s fun, it’s uplifting! It makes you want to blast it in your car, roll down the windows and dance along.
So what’s next? We have to get the word out there about Nicky’s first song as a solo artist. Yes, basically all of Ireland has heard last week’s amazing news, but let’s make sure it gets the airplay time it deserves! How do we do that? Simple:
Listen to your local radio stations.
Look them up on twitter.
